Itinerary 3: Yellowstone National Park

VISITOR CENTER - ABOUT YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK:

  • Yellowstone National Park is one of the United States’ largest and most famous national parks. It covers northwestern Wyoming and parts of southern Montana and eastern Idaho.
  • Yellowstone was the first national park in the country and in the world.
  • It is the home of Old Faithful, a hot-water geyser.
  • The Grand Prismatic Spring (pictured above) is one of many colorful hot springs in Yellowstone National Park. The colors come from tiny organisms that live along the sides of the spring.
