Assemblies

Character Counts kicks off with BMX Stunt Show.
McCarter Theatre explores Black American playwrights with our students during Black History Celebration.

Thanks to your PTO support, our children get to experience whole-school assemblies hosted by top talents from around the world. And they all have their story to tell!

Historically, the PTO provides one assembly to kick off Character Counts (our character education initiative) in October and every other year, the PTO coordinates and funds an assembly to bring voices to our Black History Celebration in January.

For example:  Our previous year's Black History Celebration assembly organized by the PTO welcomed McCarter Theatre Director Jade King Carroll and actors Nathan James, Toccarra Cash and Joshua Campell. They customized an original assembly exploring Black American playwrights, graced our Littlebrook stage with scene performances and held a special Q&A with our children. This assembly even got a spotlight in Princeton's Town Topics newspaper!
